ENBE Project 2 (B)

Street Intervention

“ The built environment provides the setting and backdrop by which we live our lives, and impacts on our senses, our emotions, participation in physical activity and community life, our sense of community, and general wellbeing. "

We were required to construct ideas on street intervention based on the conducted site study. As a group, we were assigned to the street, Changkat Bukit Bintang in Bukit Bintang. We were needed to be critical when conducting our site study. After that, we were to compose all our findings including macro study, micro study, swot study and also our idea proposal on the presentation boards. Also, we were to come up with a 2D pop up street model to reflect the intervention and the significant content in presentation boards.

Reflection

Throughout the project, I have learnt to identify and to describe the elements or components of built environment. Moreover, I have also learnt to analyse the function of the elements in built environment in the city setting and to initiate ideas on built environment through observation, data collection, evaluation and deliver them by using different techniques.

The TGCs which I have achieved through this assignment include discipline specific knowledge, lifelong learning, thinking and problem solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills and also intrapersonal skills.
