CTS ASSIGNMENT 2

Create Something That Represents Yourself

" Nothing's wrong in CTS. Be creative. Be innovative. "

We were required to create something that represents ourselves. Anything else goes. There's no criteria for this assignment as long as we can prove how unique we are. We were to take up to a maximum of 10 pictures and post them.

WHEN MUSIC AND ARCHITECTURE COLLIDE

Outcome: 3D model creation, hand written piano sheets of the song:" River Flows in You" by Yiruma and also myself as the model.

This is a small story about myself. As I was graduating from my high school, it was a headache for me to choose which course to do for my further studies. Initially, I wished to study music abroad. However, my mum insisted that the jobs offered were limited if I went for music. I think she has a point too, therefore I decide to do architecture as I have interests in architecture as well. Yet, I'm not going to give up my interest in piano, I can and I will continue to play piano as my hobby.

Therefore, I've came up with this 3D model which is a combination of music (piano)  and architecture ( building structures)  which represents my life.

It's a piano which its brand is Ritmuller, my favorite piano brand.

It shows the buildings which are in white and having black windows and doors. At the same time you can also see the piano from the building structures. The colours of black and white figuratively indicate the two choices of my life: music and architecture.

I'm playing the piece:" River Flows in You" by Yiruma.

River Flows in You is the song that built my interest in music. This song is superb as you can hear the sound of the flowing water.
