Elevations of our selected furniture, tall chair from Campus Central, TULC.

The Tasks:

As a group, we are required to produce basic orthographic drawings which consist of top view, side view and section of a chosen furniture with precise measurement and scale. After a brief discussion with my teammates, we decided to choose the tall chair from Campus Central, located at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Next, we determine the scale, which was 1: 5 and measured every details of the chair in order to generate our drawings.

Basic orthographic drawings for the tall chair from Campus Central.

Reflection:

Overall, I am able to translate 3D objects into 2D drawings using the correct scale. It is vital to have good observational skills in order to express the 3D objects accurately. In this assignment, I was in charge of the imaginary section of the tall chair. It was such a regret as we did not have sufficient time for this assignment as we were dealing with another module's submission at the same time. Hence, the outcome was not impressive enough and the pictures taken were also not clear enough to express our work. Anyhow, this assignment has helped me a lot in the following drawing assignments as I understand more about orthographic drawings.
