Elevation and section of our assigned fruit, capsicum.

The Tasks:

As a group, we are required to produce observational drawings of our given vegetable, capsicum during the class and submit them at the end of class. To kick off, we are instructed to buy the capsicum on our own and bring it to the class. Indubitably, we are also needed to cut the capsicum in order to produce section drawing.

The Requirements:

  1. To produce two types of observational drawings which are sketches (with rendering) using pencil and outline drawings (without rendering) using felt tip pen.

  2. To produce one top view, two elevations and two sections for each type of observational drawings.

  3. To draw on A4 papers and compose all drawings on two A1 mounting boards.

  4. To label the drawings properly.

Reflection:

Overall, I am able to demonstrate my observation of forms and shapes, as well as my understanding towards plan view, elevation and section view through this assignment. In this assignment, I was in charge of one of the elevations of capsicum for both pencil sketches and outline drawings. I enjoyed this assignment a lot as it was a fun one and I did not feel stressful while completing the tasks, unlike the other assignments. Lastly, it was great to work with my teammates, and we are all satisfied with the outcomes. I hope to bring these positive vibes onto the future projects.
